My name is Joe Gambino. 

I am a strength and conditioning coach (CSCS), physical therapist (DPT), adjunct professor at Queens College, writer, and co-founder of Par Four Performance, an online resource geared towards enhancing your everyday health, movement and golf performance/durability. 

I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition from Queens College in 2010.  Since starting personal training in 2007, I have highly valued professional development gaining certifications from Kettlebell Concepts, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Functional Range Conditioning (FRCms), Functional Range Release (FRR), Kinstretch, and Titlist Performance Institute (TPI) . Most recently I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Touro College in 2015.  

I have been a Personal Trainer over the past 9 years and worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Queens College for a year and a half.  I worked with numerous sports teams including: volleyball, water polo, lacrosse, baseball, softball and men & women's basketball.  I also completed a strength and conditioning internship at St. John's University with the Red Storm's men & women's basketball teams. 

In my current practice at Perfect Stride Physical Therapy in Union Square, NY, I continue to treat patients using evidenced-based practice and a philosophy that strength is a fundamental skill everyone requires.  I am a physical therapy provider for Clinical Athlete, a global database designed to help connect athletes and weightlifters with health care practitioners. 

I enjoy playing golf, reading, football, baseball, bowling, picking things up and putting them down, hikes, drinking (beer, wine, coffee, not necessarily in that order) and hanging out with my two favorite girls, Jen (my girlfriend) and Lily (my dachshund). Fun fact: Jen and I foster dogs and give them an interim home before they find a family of their own.
